Forge Your Own Path
Ugolini Meccanica Watches was not born at a desk, but in a workshop, among self‑built CNC machines and a passion for technical materials. A human project made of challenges, prototypes, and the freedom to create.
Who has never thought: I want to build my own watch?
Ugolini Meccanica Watches was born from a personal journey, long before it became a business idea. It is not the story of a brand created at a desk, but of a project that grew step by step, through attempts, mistakes, and a strong desire to create something authentic. My initial goal was clear: to build a carbon fiber watch. Despite the high costs and technical challenges, I decided to try anyway. I built my own CNC machine and started developing the first carbon fiber prototypes. They were not perfect, but they were real.
Carbon fiber & the first CNC
Building a carbon fiber watch requires precision machinery and an obsession with detail. I assembled my own CNC machining center, learning every single component. The first prototypes were imperfect but tangible: an idea born in a garage became a reality shared with those who follow and support the project. That was the moment I knew I wanted to create my own watches, guided by my own vision, without compromises. Today every carbon component is machined to tolerances of a tenth of a millimeter, while keeping the original artisanal spirit.
Research, suppliers, refinement
From there began a path of study, design, and research. I faced technical and production challenges, contacted specialized suppliers, and learned to work with workshops that today help bring materials like anodized aluminum, carbon fiber, bronze, and steel to life with increasingly high standards. Even now, every project starts from real prototypes, testing, and continuous refinement, keeping the same experimental approach. We firmly believe that a watch should tell the story of its material: bronze oxidizes, carbon is ultra‑light, colored aluminum makes a statement.
A human and direct project
Ugolini Meccanica Watches remains a human and direct project. When you write, it is often me answering personally for technical questions, while my partner Alessia manages the operational flow and customer communication, following every step with care. This direct relationship is a fundamental part of the brand: no artificial distance, just a real dialogue with those who choose to wear one of our watches. We have no call centers or chatbots – we believe craftsmanship extends to the way we relate to people.
Limited production, independent vision
Production is intentionally limited and independent. Each model comes from a precise vision, not from mass‑production logic or standard catalogs. Continuous interaction with the community and real user feedback have helped shape the identity of the projects, turning personal ideas into watches that are requested and appreciated internationally. If Ugolini Meccanica Watches exists and grows today, it is also thanks to those who trusted us from the very beginning: every customer is not just part of the journey, but a fundamental part of its evolution. We produce small numbered series because each watch deserves individual attention.
“Ugolini Meccanica Watches continues to grow this way, step by step, together with those who choose to be part of it.”
